The faithful of Opus Dei pray daily for all cooperators who in one way or another helped or are helping the Prelature carry out its mission in the service of the Church. Also at certain times during the year, priests of the Prelature offer Holy Mass for the souls of deceased Cooperators.
The Holy See has granted to Catholic Cooperators a plenary indulgence (under the usual conditions established by the Church) on specific feasts in the Church:
- On the date of appointment as a Cooperator
- Feb 14: Anniversary of the beginning of Opus Dei's work with women and anniversary of the founding of the Priestly Society of the Holy Cross
- Mar 19: Solemnity of Saint Joseph
- Jun 29: Solemnity of the Apostles Peter and Paul
- Sep 14: Feast of the exaltation of the Holy Cross
- Sep 29: Feast of the archangels San Miguel, San Gabriel and San Rafael
- Oct 2: Anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei
- Dec 27: Feast of Saint John the Apostle
They can also receive a partial indulgence in various circumstances; for example, when attending an activity of spiritual formation.
They can also earn plenary indulgence on the day of their appointment as cooperators and partial indulgence in various circumstances, for example, when they attend a Circle for Cooperators circle or on the day of monthly recollection.
