Steps when JomSocial is upgraded

  1. Make a backup of website in Lunarpages with the backup tool
  2. Make a copy of where-you-are directory in public_html
  3. Upgrade
  4. in the following subdirectories in public_html/where-you-are/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts:
    1. frontpage: copy base-current-copy.php to base.php
    2. groups:
      1. copy base-current-copy.php to base.php
      2. copy list-current-copy.php to list.php
    3. events:
      1. copy single-current-copy.php to single.php 
      2. copy list-current-copy.php to lis.php
  5. In public_html/where-you-are/modules/mod_community_groups
    1. copy mod_community_groups.php-copy-orig to mod_community_groups.php (change to sort groups by name)
  6. In public_html/where-you-are/components/com_community/controllers
    1. copy events.php.copy.current to events.php. It contains changes for events repeated monthly based on day of the week
  7. It looks like Google Login was disabled in upgrade. One has to reset it in JomSocial->Configuration->Integration
