1. Mass:
a) Count people expected to receive Holy Communion. Place that number of small hosts, plus one, in the small covered ciborium next to the chalice on the credence table (on the sacristy side). Replace top onto ciborium snugly.
b) Take missal stand and large missal from the nook on the right side of the tabernacle altar and place it on lef side of the altar facing the people
c) Place lectionary (book for Readings & Gospel) and leather binder for Prayer of the Faithful on the tall lectern and center lectern in space on right side of altar between altar and wall.
d) Wine & Water Cruets - Fill wine & water cruets on cart in sacristy and place on credence table on right side of the altar.
e) Lavabo (crystal finger basin) & finger towel - bring from cart in sacristy and place on credence table on right side of the altar.
f) Flowers for the altar (if any) - in sacristy remove flowers from water basins and place to dry in small basket(s) to carry to altar. Arrange flowers artistically between the candlesticks on the altar facing the people. -
g) Kneeler cloth - Bring kneeler cloth from sacristy and place in front pew or hang over one of the portable kneelers in the front pew.
h) Candles - For regular weekday Masses - bring two small candlesticks rom nook on right side of tabernacle altar and place them between the two large candlesticks on the altar facing the people and light them. For feast day Masses light all four large candles on altar facing the people.
2. Solemn Benediction: Light charcoal 5 or 10 minutes before Solemn Benediction and place in incenser.
3. Candles: For meditation, Stations of the Cross, examinations of conscience or like activities light the two small candles permanently on each side of the tabernacle a few minutes before the event starts.
4. Meditation Table & Chair: Set up the night before in space between altar and sacristy together with the table lamp and portable lapel microphone. Plug in table lamp, and turn on microphone amplifier in closet in the ante oratory. Test microphone. Set up same before meditations during the day storing table $.chair in sacristy away from the door leading to the administration side.
5. Missalettes & Benediction Sheets: Pass out paperback missalettes before Mass and laminated or card stock benediction sheets before benediction.
